MCAS Miramar is part of San Diego's large naval complex including Naval Station San Diego and Naval Base Coronado. So it is fitting that the area boasts a spectacular Fleet Week.

2010 Sweatshirts

The MCAS Miramar Air Show in 2010 — "Marines: A Tradition of Uncommon Valor." This year marks the 65th Anniversary of Iwo Jima. Paul and Kimberleigh Gavin have creatively depicted the historical Iwo Jima invasion by placing the Blue Angels over present day Iwo Jima along with various Marine aviation inventory on the left side of the island as the 1945 invasion is depicted on the right side. If you look very closely you can see the flag raising on Mt. Suribachi, but easier to see are the background clouds in the shape of the famous flag raising photo.
