I am not an artist who follows the trends. I choose to follow what I really want to paint. It has to do with the heart. Do you notice the last three letters in "heart"? They're "art." Heart and art. They're a lot the same.

Gavin Fine Art & Design was created in 1993 when artists Kimberleigh Webb and Paul Gavin were married. Paul was well established in south Orange county where he owned his studio and gallery, Paul Gavin Fine Art. Kimberleigh was involved with textiles, creating vibrant designs for beach towels. Paul met Kimberleigh in 1981 at UCI where she was doing her undergrad studies in studio art and Paul had returned post-graduation to work in the etching studio. After dating for a few months, the two went their separate ways only to reunite 10 years later and make it permanent.

Paul Gavin is widely known in south Orange County for his beautiful coastal landscape paintings. Paul's Premiere Coastal Series is on permanent display at the San Clemente and Dana Point Post Offices as well as Jon's Fish Market in the Dana Point Harbor and several restaurants and banks in the area. His Limited Edition prints are available through Fast Frame of Dana Point (949-240-0800).

Kimberleigh specializes in graphic design and collaborates with Paul on the graphic images for T-shirts. Their working relationship involves Paul creating the conceptual framework and Kimberleigh drawing the finished images and digitizing for final printing applications. Together, the Gavins have created and produced over 84 designs for special event posters, T-shirts and other wearables.

Paul and Kimberleigh design the images and sponsor numerous Air Shows across the country. Paul began working with Air Shows in 1989 when MCAS El Toro asked him to create a painting for their show.

Now the Gavins sponsor eight of the largest events in the United States including March Air Reserve Base, MCAS Miramar Air Show, Andrews AFB, Fair Saint Louis, Chicago Air & Water Show, and Fleet Week San Francisco.

In addition to the Air Shows, the Gavins also sponsor, design and produce images for events such as the Dana Point Festival of Whales and Mission San Juan Capistrano Swallows Day.

Paul and Kimberleigh live in San Juan Capistrano with their two Hungarian vizslas, Chloe & Claude, 3 cats and several snakes.
