Paul Gavin Fine Art The fifth of the Premier Coastal Series images, this painting of Avalon Harbor, Catalina, California was finished in 1999. Although it was begun in 1992, the numerous events and other images delayed this painting's completion.

To get this view, I had to actually climb out on the edges of the brush on the edges of the cliffs. This prevented much on-site work, as there was no ground beneath me.

Due to the many paintings completed during this time, this piece is much more detailed and the colors are more refined than the earlier Premier Coastal Series Pieces.
